The vintage postcard focuses on the Great Meteor Crater of Arizona, which is a large hole formed by meteorites. The postcard mentions that the crater is 570 feet deep and over 4,000 feet across. It is located south of U.S. Highway 66 between Winslow and Flagstaff. The meteorites that caused the crater are buried thousands of feet below it. Visitors to the museum on the rim of the crater can see meteoritic fragments and attend lectures about the natural disaster that created this famous phenomenon.
