Greetings from Newport, Rhode Island!
I am currently visiting the stunning Nichols Wanton Hunter House on Washington Street, overlooking the beautiful Bay area. This historic Colonial home was built before 1754 and is considered one of the finest in America.
I had the opportunity to explore the house, which is open to visitors from May to November under the auspices of The Preservation Society of Newport County. The architecture and design of the Hunter House are truly remarkable, and I highly recommend a visit if you are ever in the area.
The views from the house are absolutely breathtaking, and I can’t get enough of the charm and history that surrounds this place. I feel like I have stepped back in time and am experiencing a piece of American history firsthand.
I hope you can visit this incredible piece of history someday. Until then, I will continue to explore and enjoy all that Newport has to offer.
