The postcard features a photo of De Zwaan (The Swan) Windmill located on Windmill Island in Holland, Michigan. The windmill is a historic and working mill, surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds that bloom with tulips during the annual Tulip Festival in mid-May. The photo was taken by John Penrod. The windmill was originally built in the Netherlands in 1761 before being transported to the United States in 1964. It is the only authentic, working Dutch windmill in the United States.
