The Singer Building in New York City is a 47-story high-rise with 5000 tenants and 16 Otis traction elevators. It has foundations consisting of 36 caissons sunk to bedrock 92 feet below the surface. The building is located on the corner of Broadway and Liberty Streets and rises to a total height of 612 feet. The postcard also mentions the sender’s excitement about the sights in New York City and their wish for their friend to experience them as well.
