The postcard features the U.S.S. Agerholm (DD-826), the first ship of the fleet to be named after PFC Harold Christ Agerholm, a Marine Corps Reserve member. The ship was constructed by Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine, and was commissioned on June 20, 1946.
