The postcard features the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., dedicated to the memory of Abraham Lincoln. The memorial is designed in classic Greek architecture and features a colonnade of 36 columns, symbolizing the 36 states in the Union at the time of Lincoln’s assassination. Inside the memorial, there is a monumental statue of Lincoln sculpted by Daniel French.
