I recently received a postcard from Bermuda, and I couldn’t help but share the beauty captured in its message. The postcard was sent from York Street, St. George’s, Bermuda on May 4, 1959. The sender, Allein, expressed how wonderful everything was – from the flowers to the weather to the water. It truly sounds like a paradise!
The postcard was published by A. J. Gorham, Ltd. and Mywa, with printing done in England by Mardon, Son & Hall, Ltd. The stamp on the postcard features the Perot stamp from Bermuda in 1848.
It’s amazing how a simple postcard can transport you to a place of beauty and wonder. I can only imagine the sights Allein must have seen during their time in Bermuda.
