Back of PostcardThe postcard features a night view of the Tennessee State Capitol in Nashville. Built between 1845-1853 for $2.5 million, its design is inspired by Greek Ionic architecture. The Capitol grounds feature statues such as an equestrian statue of President Andrew Jackson, the tomb of President Polk and his wife, and monuments to Sam Davis and Alvin C. York. The Capitol is a prominent landmark in Nashville and serves as the seat of the Tennessee General Assembly. The postcard was printed in Ireland and is part of an international collection by C.B.S. Card Service.
