The postcard features an image of the San Miguel Mission in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which is noted as the oldest church in the United States. The mission was founded by Father Benavides in 1621. During the Indian Rebellion of 1680, the church was burned down but was restored by De Vargas in 1692.
